There are places that vibrate with charged narratives, and whose ambience, alone, speaks volumes.
Captured through the lens of photographer Nikki McClarron, ROA Fall Winter 2024 collection offers a contemporary snapshot of life in the valley, situating ROA in a context akin to the exploration of its roots while providing insights of what contemporaneity looks like in the landscape. ROA FW24 campaign takes set in Ticino, Switzerland, against the background of two iconic architectural locations, Tre Tetti house by Manuel Pauli (1964–65) and Casa Bianchi by Mario Botta (1971–73).
Just like these constructions, which incorporate modernist and postmodernist traits with other architectural influences, ROA’s FW24 collection reflects on versatility and hybridness, offering a support system that caters to both functionality and emotional capacity for wearers navigating increasingly challenging environments, whether amidst the alpine region, in the valley below, or in the city just across it.
The interplay of strength and fragility is reflected in ROA’s FW 2024 collection through its combinations of hard wearing fabrics with elements of lightness and flexibility, in an eclectic experimentation that highlights the connections between form and function, past and present, natural environments and city dwellings.
