ROA emerged as an Italian footwear brand in 2015 from the valleys between the Alps of Italian South Tyrol as a response on how to continuously pass between home, workshop and mountainside.
The resulting hybrid attitude sits at the core of ROA, and as a brand it constitutes an on-going exploration of how to adapt this hybrid attitude to contemporary conditions. How to remain grounded in the landscape while engaging with a contemporary society.

ROA’s signature hybrid boot, made for the landscape of the Dolomite mountains with an eye to the urban settings, the Andreas combines a rugged, full wax impregnated Kudu leather exterior in black for protection and durability with the comfort of an athletic shoe’s interior. Over time, the Kudu leather upper undergoes a unique visual evolution, preserving its timeless charm and developing a beautiful patina. The boots feature a custom Vibram® Megagrip sole for traction, and a rubberized toe cap for added security. Our Kudu leather is sourced from a British LWG tannery, ensuring minimal environmental impact throughout its production process.
